Jessica Kaminsky grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she played minor hockey for the AA Female Twins. In 2010, her family moved to La Salle, MB, and Jessica joined the Pembina Valley Hawks Female Midget AAA team for the 2010-11 & 2011-12 season.
In her first season with the AAA Hawks, the team won provincials and fell just short of winning the Western Championship after a tough loss to the Notre Dame Hounds. The following year proved to be the one as the team won the Provincial Championship, Western Championship and moved on to win the Esso Cup National Championship. Jessica continued to play high level hockey as she accepted an offer to play on the Division I hockey team of the Union College Dutchwomen. Jessica captained the team in her final season (2015-16).
Always having strong ties to the game, Jessica knew playing wasn’t the only way to stay involved with the game she loves. Jessica began to coach hockey camps in 2013 and while at Union, she paired up with multiple minor hockey teams in the area to lend a helping hand to their respective programs.
Upon leaving the states and coming back to Winnipeg, Jessica took on her first major coaching role, assisting in coaching the Female Bantam AA Twins in 2016. Staying with the team for the 2017-18 season, Jessica helped coach the team to both a City Championship and a Provincial Championship.
Being very familiar with the AAA female hockey program in Manitoba, Jessica will help manage the forwards and assist in coaching the AAA Winnipeg Ice for the 2018-19 season.
